Buena cosa.
Nuevo Catecismo Catolico (NCC)

Safety Pins1997 – After Pop Crash Colapso break up Biffs started The Safety Pins. Martini (who was in PCC as well) joined to the band and after several rehearsals they recorded some demos with Rotaflesh (PCC) playing guitar on some tracks and a drummer to look for a label. Munster Records called them and “Steel Knives & Razorblades” is released.
1998 - New drummers in and out the band. New recording sessions with some friends from other bands get one part of the next album “Powergenerator” released on Munster Records again. Munster booked the infamous tour with Los Perros and The Bongolocos, two bands from the own label. Tour was really funny but with a great economic disaster. Too much drugs and too many people to feed up.

1999 – As always the band don’t get an stable lineup. Ricky joined them on drums with help of Rotaflesh on the second guitar. Also a Biffs’ drummer friend called Guanche helped for recording sessions of “Invite us to your funeral” the first US release from the safetys. Guanche already had worked with them on the single “Just In fun” on No Tomorrow records and on several songs of “Powergenerator”. In those days the band put out a new compilation of LA and SF punk era bands that previously recorded in multiple sessions. It worked out on Munster and was titled “Punk Rock Disasters”.
2000 – Biffs put to Ricky out of the band and calls Guanche to start the new recording sessions for the band’s fifth album “Punkassbitch” with Daniel Rey as producer. All this coincides with a Sonny Vincent’s proposal for doing a european tour with them. Biffs puts up with a nervous breakdown by several drug overdoses and anxiolytic excess and don’t work well. He thinks the new record is a real shit with an unlucky and expensive production. Bad vibes start for roundin’ around the band. When the recording is finished Biffs re-record all guitars and makes a new mix from the album…but there’s no way!!!
Dead Beat Records put out a new album split with the Hellbenders and the band goes on…
When Sonny Vincent’s tour starts the band members get distance, misundertandings and really bad vives, so Biffs is abandoned in Slovenia and The Safety Pins broke up.
2001 – Martini and the others are not in the band yet but new songs run inside Biffs’ brain.
He meets to Andy Birkett, a London’s drummer and they get a friendly relation. Andy plays in a London band called Black Stains but is a university student in Bilbao. Some nights in the studio recording demos and fly to London looking for new experiences.
In London is Andy’s brother Jim, and Sharon McKelvie waiting for playin bass and keyboards respectively. The Safety Pins reborn!!! The band recorded 4 songs at NoiseLand studios. Some of these songs are in the new “Better Never Than Late” Lp. But Biffs needed some new members in Bilbao and met to As, John Rock and Kuki. All together have got a great part of the new record.
2002 – “Better Never Than Late” is finally on Evil Baby Records. Also the Safety Pins will put out a single split with The Sweet Nothings in January 2003. Both bands will be touring together coming soon!
